I was walking along the beach with Jesus
When I looked back
I saw there was only one set of footprints in the sand
I asked him, "Why?"
And Jesus said it was there
That you gave me
A piggyback ride
Walking on the sandy coast
Four feet, two bros
A little cold
Way out in Maine
With my main man, Jesus Christ
He's just nice
Really cool guy
Just a good hang, so to speak
Walking on the oldest beach
When I noticed he
Vanished
It was only me
Footprints in the sand is
Mine
He was on my back
Ran up from behind
It's a piggyback ride with the Most High
And it's fine for my spine to support
He's a Bible Times guy, so he's short
We were snorkeling
King of short Kings
We were laughing and splashing around in the rocks
Out in the water with the froth
Then he start to walk
Then he started moonwalking
I was like, "You're crazy, Jesus!"
(Whoa!)
Turned the ocean into wine
Everybody there got lit
Kicking it with super drunk dolphins
And the good Lord was moonwalking
All of the disciples said, "Aw shit!"
Then he led them in a class of CrossFit
Paul brought Spikeball
Thomas brought hummus and chips
Jesus said, "That's real nice, Tom."
"Hope you like bread and fish!"
Then he made it rain toast and perch
Taught a blind girl how to surf
Taught a deaf guy how to play the bass
While he played Jesus spit a verse
He came to serve, don't let it be you
He said "Let's get up and move!"
Pontius Pilates, this is my body
Shredded for you
