Lyrics
You call it love for creatures wild
But it's just a leash with better style
You wear your cause like trendy skin
But it's not love just a filtered grin
Adopted three dogs threw a parade
But poisoned rats behind the gate
You cried for the whales and arctic seals
Then crushed a wasp beneath your heels
You scream at rodeos post the fight
But feed your cat live meat each night
"No circus pets!"you say with grace
As your chihuahua wears a sequined face
You say "animals are family"
But just the cute ones on your feed
Fur is evil wool's a crime
Unless it's vintage then it's fine
That's not animalism babe
It's just mascotism with a cape
You don't want nature wild and free
You want it posing on your knee
No snakes no frogs no flies in sight
Just teacup dogs and fairy lights
So let's be honest let's be true
It's not the beasts It's all 'bout you
You canceled leather with loud applause
Then bought a hamster with fake claws
You threw red paint at fur-lined coats
But wear mascara made of goats
You posted "Stop the dolphin shows!"
Then bought a betta fish in bows
You say "don't ride that horse looks sad"
But rent a donkey for your dad
You don't love animals you love pets
Those born to fit in tiny nets
You don't want ecosystems grand
You want a fox to shake your hand
No vultures no moles no messy swarms
Just cuddly plush in human forms
You say "protect" but what you mean
Is "domesticate and keep them clean"
You said "Let's close all zoos today"
But bought a snake you never fed
You banned the circus broke the news
Then dressed your rabbit in baby shoes
You sob for dogs in foreign lands
But squash a moth with both your hands
You raise your voice for vegan trends
But step on worms when fashion bends
This ain't activism let's admit
It's just cute branding in a kit
You don't fight for wild things torn
You hug your pug in unicorns
No love for those who creep or sting
Just collar tags and diamond bling
So next time you say "I care so much"
Tell that to the ant you crushed
Mascotism not the fight...
It's soft fur wrapped in neon light
Call it justice call it deep
But the forest knows you're fast asleep
