I've been trying to save us
I've been trying but you don't anymore
Finding something to hold on to
Don't wanna let this go
Half the time we spend on stupid fights
And we can't take it back, you know it
And half the time we wanna get it right
You say we'll find the light someday
We're almost there
Almost is never enough
We're almost there
Almost is never enough
And we tried and we tried to make it through all the lies
And almost fell in love
But almost there
Almost is never enough
Why you keep all these secrets?
Why do you make me feel so lost?
And now I don't have a spirit
To put up with your ghost
Half the time we spend on stupid fights
And we can't take it back, you know it
And half the time we wanna get it right
You say we'll find the light someday
We're almost there
Almost is never enough
We're almost there
Almost is never enough
And we tried and we tried to make it through all the lies
And almost fell in love
But almost there
Almost is never enough
It's the saddest
It's the saddest
It's the saddest word
It's the saddest
It's the saddest
It's the saddest word
We're almost there
Almost is never enough
We're almost there
Almost is never enough
We're almost there
Almost is never enough
And we tried and we tried to make it through all the lies
And almost fell in love
But almost there
Almost is never enough
