Hear me when I say it
Oh, oh, believe me when you hear it
Then what you gonna do?
Repent of your sins
Confess that He is
And be baptized
Hear me when I say it
Oh, oh, believe me when you hear it
Then what you gonna do?
Repent of your sins
Confess that He is
And be baptized
I hear people saying they got saved
But they're telling me these other ways
To hear a believer repent of his sins
Confess that Jesus Christ is
Go down in water to be made new
That's what it is that we must do to be saved
But I keep hearing 'bout all these other ways
I ask them to lay a hand on the radio
Ask somebody to take a vote
Ask the Lord into your heart
Say the sinner's prayer to start to be insane
That just ain't what the Bible says
See I read that when the people heard the word
They were baptized from what they heard
Buried in a water grave
That's all and they were saved
Hear me when I say it
Oh, oh, believe me when you hear it
Then what you gonna do?
Repent of your sins
Confess that He is
And be baptized
Hear me when I say it
Oh, oh, believe me when you hear it
Then what you gonna do?
Repent of your sins
Confess that He is
And be baptized
Now in Acts 2 verse 38
We can read of people being saved
Not sprinkling water on their head
No, that just ain't what I read
No waiting for a special day
They were all baptized right away that very same day
Over three thousand souls were saved
And they did not have to speak a tongue unknown
Or go to a bench to moan
Or tarry for a special sign
But were added to the church of Christ
Hear me when I say it
Oh, oh, believe me when you hear it
Then what you gonna do?
Repent of your sins
Confess that He is
And be baptized
Hear me when I say it
Oh, oh, believe me when you hear it
Then what you gonna do?
Repent of your sins
Confess that He is
And be baptized
Gotta stick with the word of God and hear what He says
He said have faith in Jesus Christ and you will be saved
Just forget about what other people have said
Read it for yourself, it's simple and plain
Y'all, this is the gospel of Christ
He lived a perfect life
And yes He was crucified, was dead three days
But He rose up early Sunday morning
So that you could be saved today
Hear me when I say it
Oh, oh, believe me when you hear it
Then what you gonna do?
Repent of your sins
Confess that He is
And be baptized
Hear me when I say it
Oh, oh, believe me when you hear it
Then what you gonna do?
Repent of your sins
Confess that He is
And be baptized
