Lyrics meaning

The lyrics express anger toward a person called โ€œthe pusher,โ€ whom the speaker blames for selling drugs that cause severe harm. The speaker admits to using marijuana and pills, but draws a moral line: these experiences, in his view, did not destroy his spirit. The mood grows from personal confession into a forceful denunciation, ending with a fantasy of using political power and violence to stop the pusher.

Several images make the accusation vivid. People with โ€œtombstone[s] in their eyesโ€ seem lifeless or close to death, suggesting the visible damage of addiction. The โ€œdealerโ€ offers โ€œsweet dreams,โ€ a metaphor for the temporary pleasure or escape drugs may promise. By contrast, the pusher is described as a โ€œmonsterโ€ who can ruin both body and mind. The repeated curse works like a chant, emphasizing the speakerโ€™s outrage.

The song distinguishes an ordinary dealer from a more destructive supplier, but it does not clearly explain where that distinction lies. The speakerโ€™s extreme proposal to kill the pusher may be literal bravado, an expression of desperation, or a deliberately shocking way to show how furious he is. His own drug use also complicates the moral argument: he condemns one kind of harm while claiming that his own choices are different.
