Everything About You

The speaker expresses an exaggerated dislike of nearly everything: weather, places, the city and countryside, and especially another person. The repeated claim of hating “everything about you” makes the feeling sound intense and comic rather than carefully reasoned. Later, the speaker insists that this bad attitude does not make them sad; they are enjoying the act of being hostile.

The list of opposites—rain and sunshine, beach and mountains, city and countryside—suggests that the speaker is not simply unhappy with one setting. They reject almost any option, creating a picture of someone determined to complain. “Hate your daddy’s guts” is an informal, emphatic way to say that someone strongly dislikes another person’s father. The contrast between “I get sick” around the person and “I’m having a ball” while hating them adds a teasing, provocative edge.

The lyrics may describe genuine dislike, but their over-the-top insults and shifting claims also make the speaker seem unreliable or playful. The boast about kissing the other person’s sister complicates the repeated declaration of total rejection: the speaker says they dislike her, yet also brags about being involved with her. This contradiction may be meant to provoke rather than offer a consistent account of the speaker’s feelings.
