Lyrics

Taking a trip, no doubt Taking the time, we chose a route Had to find a place Where we could feel like the human race Put the junk in the trunk Highway and the smell of skunk But it didn't last 'Cause we were moving way too fast And anyways... People like that smell now'days I read it in a magazine With a picture of a nature scene Which was like a dream I need some water, pass the canteen Doing what we can because we could We want what's good We want what's good We want what's good We want what's good Tall grass and butterflies Dumb shit and silly lies They make us laugh Trying to stay on the path Saw a fallen tree Someone got stung by a bumblebee We still had fun Something new under the sun Goin' up that hill The coolers are heavy but we'll make it still Everyone sweats Shouldn't smoke so many cigerettes What you gonna do? Fools are people, too Hand in hand so they can land, so grand Unplanned, there we stand It's understood We want what's good We want what's good We want what's good We want what's good Wanna know what chip makes the birdies chirp so sweet? Or the bluest skies look deep? I don't need to make that leap I'm already there With static wind blowing through my hair You don't believe me? I swear I'm taking a trip, no doubt Taking the time, chosing my route Taking a friend, hoping we can do it again Someday, I'll remember your face And I'll remember the place You run ahead, but then I called up And there we stood We want what's good We want what's good We knock on wood We want what's good
